Organic, vegetarian meals...

Green Pre-school serves freshly prepared, organic vegetarian meals.  Infants are served
organic fruits and vegetables, which are pureed to the consistency of their current
developmental stage as well as to their preference.  Toddlers are served table food based
on whole foods, including fruit, vegetables, legumes, and whole grains.  Families come to
us from an array of dietary lifestyles, which may not include vegetarian.  However, they
appreciate the fact that their child is served highly nutritious meals each day at Green

According to the USDA's
Dietary Guidelines for America, 2010, consumption of vegetables and
fruits is associated with reduced risk of many chronic diseases. Specifically, moderate
evidence indicates that intake of at least 2 1/2 cups of vegetables and fruits per day is
associated with a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, including heart attack and stroke.
Some vegetables and fruits may be protective against certain types of cancer.

Steamed broccoli, brown rice pasta with tomato sauce
Corn, black beans, & couscous

Organic milk or soymilk is served to children 12 months and older based on parental preference.  Formula or breastmilk shall be supplied by the child's
